After being unable to work on the mansion's restoration the last few months due to the COVID-19 virus, we are finally back! This is the last handrail that needed to be custom made/restored for pieces that were salvageable.

Learned a neat fact today! The museum in Cobden, IL has a chimney pot that once stood on the chimneys at the Riverlore. These were designed and created by the Anna Pottery Company! The Riverlore's chimney pot is to the right, but the bottom pictures depict were they would have been placed. Amazing!

We held a Halloween event for the local trick-or-treaters, and what a SURPRISE!! The Halliday’s did rearrange their schedule. We enjoyed their stories, and they got to meet the current owners. Promises were made to come back again. So for those who missed them this year, maybe next! We definitely need to step up the quality of our bourbon selection, as William Parker was not impressed.

These two amazing pieces of artwork were given to us to display at the Riverlore! We can not wait for them to be hung in their new home! The bottom artwork is of the Riverlore's neighbor, The Magnolia Manor. Thank you so much Trish Smith for helping us to obtain these. Thank you Melinda and David Zimmer for gifting them in honor of your parents Jerome and Patricia Zimmer and Mr. and Mrs. Melcher. Former residents of Cairo.
